The play of light and shadow, the gleam of streetlamps, public
squares, historic architecture and modern buildings are the harvest
of the photographer's travels around Bielsko-Biała. Viewing the
album, we see places we pass by every day, and places we rarely
visit. We also observe changes: carefully restored public buildings
and townhouses, the charming arcades of the Main Square restored
to its former glory, and continually beautified plazas, streets
and lanes, heralding the return of "little Vienna." Artur Pałyga's
poem "Letter from City B." adds a note of nostalgia, and allows
us to grasp the spirit of this city on the Biała River
