A special album, as special as the place
it depicts. The inspiration for this album is the poetry of Konstanty
Ildefons Gałczyński, based on his rambles through the streets
of Cracow perpetuated in literary legend, and above all the most
Cracovian of his poems, The Enchanted Droshky. A walk through
town in the poet's footsteps reveals its captivating mysteries,
to which the singer/songwriter Grzegorz Turnau invites us in his
foreword.
"We see the intimate Cracow in Wojciech
Kryński's photographs. The Planty promenade, Carpenter's Tower,
Florian Gate, St. Thomas Street, Wawel Cathedral clock tower,
even the Cloth Market Hall -they are all the private place of
a fine photographer who shows us how he sees them -mysterious,
majestic, sometimes a little sad ... everyone sees Cracow in his
own way. And the album is truly beautiful."
