The first bilingual edition of Konstanty Ildefons Gałczyński's poem, translated into German by Winfried Lipscher. The album combines the verses with photographic images of the beautiful landscape of Warmia and Masuria. Each fragment of this poetic chronicle is accompanied by a photograph by Mieczysław Wieliczko which reflects the poet's delight in nature as summer turns to autumn in Olsztyn. Kira Gałczyńska elicits the atmosphere of those places and times in her introduction.
The book's design makes the photographs work with the verses in graceful counterpoint, immersing the reader in the magic of the world of nature.
