An artistic vision of the natural world is captured in photographs
Cezariusz Andrejczuk took over the course of eight years. The
photos are a unique record of the life of untamed nature. Labyrinths
of river channels, flocks of cranes, and swans gliding over flood
plains, photographed from above, leave a lasting impression.
In many of the photos we witness one of nature's loveliest and
most fleeting phenomena - river mist at dawn. The artist's images
are unique, creative visions of a magical river undefiled by
civilization, unsubdued, fascinating. Amidst these pages of superb
images are fragments of Wisława Szymborska's poem "Miracle
fair,"
printed on India paper. A hugely artistic, poetic album. The
publication was nominated for the Polish Association of Book
Publishers Competition for Most Beautiful Books of the Year 2007.
"A publishing feat: clothbound; excellent-quality matte
photos; every page interleaved with a translucent sheet bearing
the title
and - surprise! - a verse of Wisława Szymborska's 'Miracle fair.'
Not a word in typeface, all of it handwritten in italics."
