This album presents the achievements of Polish poster artists
in recent years. It also contains a pictorial lexicon of one hundred
years of world-renowned Polish poster art. The illustrations are
supplemented by a historical sketch of the Polish poster written
by Zdzisław Schubert, and an essay by Steven Heller exploring
the relation between the Polish and the American poster. It took
honors in the 1996 Polish Association of Book Publishers Competition
for Most Beautiful Books of the Year, and it was judged the best-looking
new book by Gazeta Wyborcza.
