The album presents the work of the world-acclaimed artist Stasys
Eidrigevičius. It contains heretofore unpublished works, introduced
by Ryszard Kapu¶ciński. Each chalk composition is furnished with
poetic comments from the artist. Together they form a remerkable
series of portraits expressing a profusion of states of mind.
The album was an event in the publishing and art worlds. In April
1998 it took honors in the Polish Association of Book Publishers
XXXVIII Competition for Most Beautiful Books of the Year.
